Line Dash and ZACH Theatre

Line Dash's reel of spots for ZACH shows

How great is it that ZACH is getting their shot at a fancy pants new building? The Long Center has been built; The Performing Arts Center has been remodeled; SVT has their own building; Ballet Austin and Austin Lyric Opera have new headquarters.  It is ZACH’s turn, yo!

Line Dash attended the artist/designer open house in early February. One of the architects pulled a section of the model that represented the entire area that you would call backstage at the current Kleberg stage. When he put that little trapezoidal block of foam core and glue on top of the new Topfer model, it looked like a toy picnic table on the roof of the new theater.

We have been designing video projections starting with Jouét in 1993 along with marketing materials for the theatre.   Here’s a reel of Public Service Announcements for ZACH produced by Line Dash. The Keepin’ It Weird spot features Governor of Texas, Ann Richards.   For the record the Urinetown spot was approved without NO changes by marketing director Jim Reynolds and artistic director Dave Steakley.

The excitement the possibilities of this new building bring feels like a brand new day. Not just for ZACH, but for Austin – we don’t have many 400 seat theater venues. Line Dash couldn’t be more supportive.

Remember, it’s ZACH Theatre not Zach Scott, Rude Mechs not Rude Mechanicals, Texas State not Soutwest Texas, Lady Bird Lake not Town Lake.  Line Dash, LLC used to be line dash media so we have an acute understanding of this challenge.

Please give to help Z meet fundraising goals for this amazing new building.
